Hi, NO, and who's your Bobby?

Baby J is now walking and talking up a storm, however, a lot of the things he says don't really make sense and make me laugh and laugh. He definitely understands "Hi" and loudly greets anything and everyone who comes across his path. He waves his little hands and everyone who sees him gives him a big grin, greets him and laughs. We love this and hope it continues.

A less desirable use of his communication skills involves the word "NO". For instance, whatever question you ask him now is vigorously responded with a head shaking "NO". I think this is hilarious, but mom and dad don't really think as much as of it as I do. I like to say "Josh do you want to do {insert here} and he responds in his cute little voice "No" and shakes his little head side to side. It really is very cute, but I am helping mom to also teach him to nod his head and say "Yes"! It really doesn't matter what you ask him, you will always get the answer no. Tonight daddy asked Baby J if he wanted to ride a pony and eat cupcakes all day long and guess what response he received? You got it!
Um, by the way, did I mention that Mom and Dad say that I was INSTRUMENTAL in teaching him this new "NO" skill?

The other funny thing that Baby J has been doing is calling everyone "Bobby". We are not sure where he came up with this - perhaps Bobby is poltergeist that only Baby J can see or perhaps he is just messing with us, but it is funny as ever. He just says it over and over and addresses people as Bobby. I can't wait until we meet someone that is actually named Bobby - they will think the little guy is a genius! Of course, we all think he is a genius anyway - I mean, come on, he is MY brother!
Later.

The Boyz!

Mom took this picture and she just loves it as it has all her boys together and we are all happy and smiling, FINALLY. The last few months, as many of you know, have been filled with lots of viruses, ear infections and whatever else you can think of. You will notice that the little guy has become somewhat attached to his pacificer aka "NIGHT NIGHT". Up until a few months ago, he had only been allowed to use it at night, but due to all his recent ear infections and other plagues and other issues, he has been allowed to use it when he was in distress and it virtually became an ALL DAY AND NIGHT NIGHT! (mom says to tell you that the darn pacifier basically saved her from going completely insane over the past few months).

Update: The NIGHT NIGHT has been PHASED back to a "night night" ONLY now and hopefully it willl soon become a NEVER NEVER again:).

He walks the line (not a straight line, however)!

The day has finally come when my little brother "Josh Josh", as he is now referred to, is finally walking on his own two feet. Well, mom says it walking, but it really resembles more of a drunken march in circles with occassional slips and falls. Mom and dad would tell you that they didn't really think this day would ever come. I think although they tried hard not to, they compared his development to mine and we all know that I walked at about 10 1/2 months. Josh Josh is a little older than 16 months, so in all respects it was quite a while later for him. However, now that he is walking, he wants to walk EVERYWHERE! The poor little guy has been so tired at night he can barely make it up the stairs to get to bed.

We are all very happy for this new development and I look forward to really PLAYING with him now. We went to the park today and it was a joy to see him all over the playground, chasing (stumbling after)balls and exploring everything on his own. We love to chase each other around and now that he is walking it will be even more fun!
Way to go Josh Josh! I love you little guy! See the attached pics of me and my little bro in our matching jammies, the little guy "exploring" the kitchen cabinets and lastly, Josh the carpenter. Mom says to tell you that she is aware that he doesn't have any pants on underneath that toolbelt, but it was just too cute a picture to pass up!
